Aristotle on the New York Stage
This wonderful picture shows A.E Anson as Aristotle and Henry Hull as Alexander in Hardwick Nevin's play Young Alexander at the Biltmore Theatre, New York in 1929.
The play dramatized the young monarch's campaign against Darius and the Persians. Alexander is obsessed with the idea of Helen of Troy, but has an affair with Darius's young and neglected wife, despite Aristotle’s disapproval.
