Famous Fads of Aristotle
The Welsh Evening Express (14th October 1898) features a non-chronological list of authors and their ‘famous fads’. Aristotle’s fad of finding ‘amusement in walking on the seashore and collecting specimens’ is tame compared to William the Conqueror’s who was ‘immoderately devoted to dog-fighting and bear-baiting’. Aristotle would not have approved of them appearing in the same list!
